Mother of the Bride and Groom outfits and Ladies Special Occasion wear

Hey mum. It's your day too.
Our appointment system has been forced on us by the current coronavirus pandemic and government imposed safety measures for retailers. The appointment slot is for 75 minutes but of course we won’t abandon you if you take longer. We will attend to you as long as needed. We appreciate that there will be some people who do know they will need longer than 75 minutes, such as the elderly and infirm and in such cases we recommend the last appointment slot in any day so that an over-run can be made easily. If that’s not suitable then when you make a booking do it with the next slot still showing as available and if you let us know on the booking notes we can block it out for you. We have to be cautious on the number of people in the shop at this time. Each customer can bring in one other person. Anyone else can wait in their car right outside the shop so they can be consulted if necessary at the shop door. We have an ample supply of hand sanitiser, face masks and gloves for those who want them. Our own staff will take a personal temperature test when the shop opens and at midday and any with signs of covid symptoms will be sent home immediately. We are currently unable to give any information on the dressmaker at present as she is self employed and will need to advise on her own situation separately. As soon as we have details we will add them here. We care for our staff and our customers so will work for everyone’s benefit as usual. If you have any other questions just pick up the phone and speak with June
What about an unannounced visit? We would not recommend a casual walk in visit, however if this happens and we can apply the current social distancing standards we will be happy to attend to you. If we cannot see you then you can wait in your car if an empty time-slot is on the imminent horizon, but is this really something you want to do? Easington Village green outside the shop is lovely but only when the sun is shining. If you have children and another adult with you, then you can always go over to the childrens play area to while away your time until we can see you.

Appointments

We have made a self choice appointment system so you can arrange your own visit. Walk-in casual visits without an appointment are still an option, but please call the shop beforehand if at all possible on 0191 5273945. We don’t stay open when all daily appointments are finished so calling for a casual visit is essential otherwise we may have closed for the day Visiting 1. An appointment will last for 75 minutes, though we will continue to serve anyone who runs out of time. If you feel a longer time slot will be needed, then we suggest taking the last slot of the day as we will always stay open beyond the usual opening hours 2. Each customer is limited to having two other people with them. Sorry but this is common with all the local retailers. There is good car parking outside the shop so anyone else can wait in the car and be called on to give comment on the chosen outfit at the shop door, or just inside it. 3. Due to the necessity of having to work our schedules out so that we can see as many customers as possible in as safe a situation as is possible, we may have to do staggered overlap of time-slots with 2 appointments. 4. We will have an ample supply of hand sanitiser, face masks and gloves for those who want them. 5. All staff will have temperature checks at the start of shift and at midday and any of them showing a high temperature will be sent home. 6. We never apply sales pressure on your visit and you are free to leave without a purchase of course, but later appointment time slots are expected to get pretty full due to the double up effect of this years weddings being moved into next year. If in any doubt all then please call and speak with one of the girls at the shop.
What about an unannounced visit? We would not recommend a casual walk in visit, however if this happens and we have no appointments ongoing, or due in, we will be happy to attend to you. If we cannot see you immediately you can possibly go for a cuppa and a cake then revisit later. Easington Village green outside the shop is lovely but only when the sun is shining.
